
In 1997 the Town of Cameri set out to realize a town-twinning with an European country with several contacts and meeting, one of which was in Atene with a delegation of Vànnàs, Vasterbotten County of Sweden.
In 1998 The Town of Cameri and Vànnàs signed a Cooperation Act in order to start with initiatives for the citizens of both countries.
Thanks to this agreement meeting between towns administrators, business men started and also began the exchange visits of young students.
Cameri imported from Vànnàs a Professional Development Program in Transport Logistic that was adjusted to the Italian local requirements.
Cultural and musical initiatives has been carried out by both Countris: weekly travels of people of Cameri to Vannas as well as those of inhabitants of Vannas to Cameri.
On October 22nd, 2002 was officially decided a signed the “ Town-twinning Agreement Between the Town of Cameri and the Swedish Town of Vànnàs.
